These photos compare the same forms on October 5, 11, 19, 21, and 28. Also on November 4 when the ground-level earthball is almost completely gone and the wet spores of the fully functioning earthball are almost all gone. The outer shell is turning green. On November 11 this series is finished. The round forms emerging from the sandy earth are earthballs, mushrooms, and woody growths like shelf lichen.
