{Back to top of page}Here you are at the Knoll, facing the PG & E Trail to Vista Point (upper right corner, beyond the near green hill). About midway over the ridge you look towards Black Mountain, the peak of the preserve. To get there, you would need to hike way around to the right from this point. This image is a detail from the panoramic QTVR movie at the Knoll. There is a series of small source images as an alternative to the movie.
PG & E is the Pacific Gas and Electric Company. The trail serves as access road to the power line towers marching like Kachinas along the side (not visible in this picture).
