Brain Cell Interior, oil painting
Study for the interior of the brain
cell featured in the stained glass dome, Wholeo. This
painting is in Caroling's collection. It is on
the back of one of the panels in the self portrait, I
and the Universe. The background is the
primed linen canvas. I painted it in layers.
I used to capitalize the names of things like
"Brain Cell" but today I feel like
accepting them as generic things, thus lowercased.
- First came the sphere
of the emotions in large red and blue swirls,
with a few orange tendrils reaching out.
- Cosmic juices appeared in green/gold sandwiches
at the ends of the golden central cross, articulating
the source ends and sides of the tetrahedral
light muscle (TLM).
- Incoming sensations bobbled up around the
edges.
- The storage block formed in sliver vibe shapes,
looking straight into the cube.
- 24 gold and white cylindrical rods stretched
the length of the cube.
- Info rings radiated from the rods.
- The TLM flickers in subdued green-golden flecks
near the central region.
