At the June solstice, 2001, I took the photos for the QTVR movie. (If you don't use QuickTime, see the panoramic source image instead.) I'm facing the University of Minnesota East Bank from the West Bank West River Parkway, accessed from the Franklin Ave. bridge. About 40 years earlier, from the top of the bank, I got the idea for the painting, Spring Snow.
